As a young man, Edmund Bernard Worssell completed a 7 year apprenticeship under James Stewart, a Master Engraver who migrated from England. Edmund then went on as a Master Engraver himself to establish his own company Worssell and Co. Pty Ltd. in 1943.

The company is now owned by Evan, grandson of Edmund Bernard Worssell, and his wife Michele and jointly managed/controlled by Edmund Ian Worssell, son of Edmund Bernard Worssell, and his wife Shirley.
